Operation Warp Speed is a partnership between the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Defense (DOD) which is aimed at accelerating the development and distribution of several different COVID-19 vaccines. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was extremely limited production capacity for the vaccine production that many in the industry and Government knew would be needed. This proved to be true early in production when there were huge bottlenecks and the inability to get all the manufacturing partnerships in place to move more quickly.
Innovent is doing our part to alleviate this log jam by manufacturing sub-systems that allow larger production equipment manufacturers to concentrate on Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of equipment in order to get critical vaccine manufacturing production lines set up for the pharmaceutical companies and their primary manufacturing partners.
The results have far exceeded expectations as we are now seeing three different vaccines in wide USA distribution much earlier than was predicted only a few months ago. The responsiveness of the Operation Warp Speed alliance of manufacturers has done an exceptional job. It’s proof that USA manufacturing is capable, flexible, and ready to ramp up even more.
