Our IPC-620 technicians are well versed in box builds and have been instructed in the various classes of products as defined in the standard. These acceptance levels include criteria for target, acceptable, process indicator and defect conditions. This customer was referred to us through the local area network of connections which has been one of our leading methods of securing new business. They needed a business partner that had the capability of providing engineering services to redesign an Endoscope Cleaning Tool for the purpose of reducing material costs by >30% and reducing manufacturing lead-time by applying DFM methodology. They leveraged Innovent’s medical equipment manufacturing expertise to set up a production line to build, test and qualify endoscope cleaning tools.
An NRE project was agreed on, resources were assigned, and the project was kicked-off. The scope of the project touched many engineering disciplines requiring expertise in the areas of pressure vessel design, mechanical mechanisms, hydrostatics, power distribution and control systems.

To meet the very aggressive cost reduction goal required a complete analysis of the major cost drivers on the BOM for the purpose of eliminating some and finding much lower cost but equally reliable alternatives for numerous others.
